MS Azure b1ls & Japanese culture

I have searched the real-world use cases of MS Azure b1ls, which is the smallest and cheapest VM in the world. But I have found that only Japanese people are using this.

You know there is a Korean book, “Minimizing-oriented Japanese people” written in 1986. When I see Nintendo or other Japanese game consoles, they extremely minimize hardward resource usage.

Audio hardwares too. When Sony walkman had 5w power, Panasonic had 10w power, Apple iPod had 40w power. Sony’s sound was well shaped and sophisticated in the packed area but Apple’s sound was straightforward and powerful in the large area. I think this approach worked to American people.

Or I can name musical instruments. When I play Moog or other American instruments, it sounds basic and straightforward. But when I play Korg, Akai, or other Japanese instruments, it sounds complex and rounded.

Also you can compare Steinway & Sons and Yamaha. Steinway is very piano-ish which you feel just a standard piano, Yamaha feels bright and complex.

I think Japanese people tend to minimize hardward resources and maximize software optimizations with a lot of constraints.
